DiNatale named Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week

Junior outfielder Dave DiNatale has been chosen as the Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for March 31 – April 6.

In Miami’s five wins last week, DiNatale hit .471 (8-for-17) and led the team in hits (8), home runs (3), RBI (11), slugging percentage (1.235) and total bases (21). DiNatale opened the week with his best performance of his career in Miami’s 16-7 win over FAU on April 1, going 4-for-5 with a home run, two doubles and two runs scored in addition to setting new career highs for hits (4) and RBI (5). The following day against FIU, DiNatale hit his second homer of the week with a two-run shot in the second in the UM’s 13-2 win over the Golden Panthers.

Over the weekend during Miami’s three-game sweep of Clemson, DiNatale continued his offensive attack, going a combined 3-for-9 with four RBI and five runs scored in helping the Hurricanes out-score the Tigers 28-to-15. In Sunday’s finale against the Tigers, DiNatale smacked his third homer of the week with a three-run blast to left in the fifth that proved to be the difference in Miami’s 13th-straight win.
