The rankings, which were released Aug. 12 on AVCA.org, had the Canes just outside the Top 25. Miami is sitting 30th behind San Diego, Pepperdine, North Carolina and Illinois. The Canes are one of three ACC teams to receive votes in the AVCA Preseason Poll, joining Florida State and UNC.
