Practice Insight: Hurricane Hotline, Gore Visit & Injury Report

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami held its regular hour-long practice Thursday under cooler conditions at the Greentree Practice Fields.
Miami will play host to Maryland Saturday at noon at Sun Life Stadium. The game will be carried live on ESPNU.
For the third straight day, Stephen Morris took first team reps at quarterback with Jacory Harris sidelined with a concussion.
Gore Attends Practice
Former Hurricane running back and current San Francisco 49er Frank Gore was in attendance at Thursday’s practice. Gore, who ranks second in the NFL with 1,039 all-purpose yards this season, watched most of the practice and afterwards he spent time talking with Lamar Miller and running backs coach Mike Cassano. Gore’s 49ers have a bye this week before playing host to St. Louis next weekend.
Hurricane Hotline
Hurricane Hotline will be live at Monty’s in Coconut Grove this evening with Joe Zagacki, Don Bailey Jr. and Coach Shannon. During the 8 p.m. hour men’s basketball players DaQuan Jones and Malcolm Grant will take the lead and run the radio show. The evening will conclude with a one-one interview with Maryland beat writer Patrick Stevens.
Weekly Injury Update
Head coach Randy Shannon and the UM Training staff released this week’s injury report, and it confirmed that both quarterback Jacory Harris and running back Damien Berry will miss Saturday’s game.
The report also confirmed that offensive lineman Joel Figueroa, who has miss UM’s last four games with an injury, will miss the remainder of the season.
