TODAY’S CAPTAINS: Today’s captains for Miami are Jason Fox, Glenn Cook and Chavez Grant.

BOSHER ON TARGET: Sophomore kicker Matt Bosher recorded a career-long 52-yard FG in the third quarter marking his second FG of 50 or more yards this season (50 vs. Florida). Bosher also recorded a 36 yard FG in the first quarter and a 43 yarder in the fourth quarter. He has now connected on 12-of-13 FG this season.

MARVE ON THE MOVE: Robert Marve scampered 43 yards to set up UM’s go ahead score in the third quarter. The rush marked the second longest rush from scrimmage this year (Cooper, 51 vs. Texas A&M). The run was the longest by a UM quarterback since October 30, 1993 when Ryan Collins recorded a 51 yard TD run in a 42-7 win over Temple in the Orange Bowl. It is the second longest rush by a UM quarterback in the last 25 years.

NOTHING THROUGH THE AIR: Wake Forest recorded just three completions on eight pass attempts against Miami. Marking the lowest number of completions and attempts against the Hurricanes since 2003 when Virginia Tech recorded only two completions on eight attempts in a 31-7 Virginia Tech win on Nov. 1, 2003 in Blacksburg.

GREAT EIGHT: Freshman Robert Marve’s one yard TD run in the third quarter marked the eight UM freshman to score a TD this season. The eight freshmen to score this season is a national high. No other team in the nation has had more than three freshmen. On the season 22 or UM’s 30 touchdowns

MARVE GOES DEEP: Robert Marve connected on a 48 yard pass to Travis Benjamin marking a career-long pass for the redshirt freshman and the longest pass completion by a UM quarterback this season. Sophomore running back Graig Cooper has the longest pass completion this year, a 51-yard TD pass to Benjamin against Florida State.

BIG PLAY BENJAMIN: Freshman Travis Benjamin has been Miami’s big play performer this year. His 48-yard reception in the first quarter marked his team leading sixth play of over 30 yards this season. IT was also the fifth longest play this season for a Hurricane. Benjamin owns four of the six longest playes this year. Overall the Hurricanes have recorded 18 plays of over 30 yards.

THE SERIES: Miami improves to 6-3 all-time against Wake Forest including five straight wins in the series.

FIRST POSSESSION SCORE: Wake Forest scored on their opening possession of the game marking the first time at home this season that the Hurricanes have allowed an opponent to score on their first possession of the game. It also marks just the second time at home this season that UM has allowed a first quarter score. Florida State scored a TD on their second possession of the game against Miami earlier this season.
