2008 (JUNIOR): Team’s fourth-leading tackler with 58 tackles (33 solo, 25 assisted) and ranked fifth in tackles for loss (six) playing mostly as the strongside linebacker … Posted a season-high 10 tackles in win at Duke … Picked up seven tackles at Florida … Had five tackles and a half a sack at Texas A&M … Added seven tackles and a sack against UCF … Picked up a fumble recovery at Georgia Tech … Also had seven tackles against Wake Forest … Averaged eight tackles per game in the month of October.


2007 (SOPHOMORE): Started the final five games and played in a total of 11 games at either weakside linebacker, strongside linebacker or middle linebacker … Totaled 57 tackles, which was seventh on the team and posted six tackles for loss … Against Georgia Tech, totaled 11 tackles (six solo), with one tackle for loss … At Florida State, started at weakside linebacker and made six tackles (five solo), including a career-best three tackles for loss … Against Virginia, started at strongside linebacker and played 65 downs, making eight tackles (five solo), with one tackle for loss and one QB pressure … At Virginia Tech, started at weakside linebacker, playing 61 downs and making 12 tackles (five solo) … Started at middle linebacker and led the team with nine tackles (seven solo), adding one tackle for loss and one pass breakup at Boston College.


2006 (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN): Named third-team Freshman All-America by The Sporting News and CollegeFootballNews.com and was selected to The Sporting News ACC All-Freshman team … One of eight UM players who were selected to the 2006 ACC Academic Football Team … Played in 12 games, starting five times as the middle linebacker late in the season … Totaled 41 tackles (10th on the team), with four tackles for loss, four QB pressures, one sack and three pass breakups … Ranked second on the team with seven tackles on special teams … Made his first collegiate start at middle linebacker at Georgia Tech, making one tackle for loss … Started versus Virginia Tech, finishing with three assisted tackles and one tackle for loss … Started at Maryland and played just 16 downs but tallied four tackles and one pass breakup … Started at Virginia and made nine tackles (five solo), with a sack for minus-10 yards and two QB pressures … Started at linebacker in a nickel defense vs. Boston College and tallied eight tackles (five solo), adding two QB pressures and two pass breakups … Tallied six tackles (five solo) in the MPC Computers Bowl vs. Nevada playing at middle linebacker.
