Beverly Goebel named Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week

Beverly Goebel, a three-year starter on the Hurricanes soccer team, has been selected as this week’s Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Sunday, January 17. The midfielder from Moreno Valley, Calif. was selected by the Washington Freedom in the third round of the 2010 Women’s Professional Soccer Draft held in Philadelphia January 15. Goebel started 51 of 53 games during her collegiate career and is the first player from the program to be drafted by any professional league. |
