Hurricanes Announce 2026 Summer Ball Assignments
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Twelve Miami Hurricanes will continue their development this summer across some of the nation’s premier collegiate summer leagues, including the Cape Cod Baseball League, New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL), Valley League, Northwoods League and MLB Draft League.
The Hurricanes are led by six players assigned to the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League, widely regarded as the nation’s top collegiate summer circuit. Outfielder Michael Torres and left-handed pitcher Sebastian Santos-Olson will suit up for the Brewster Whitecaps, while outfielder Dylan Dubovik joins the Wareham Gatemen. Left-hander Jack Durso and outfielder Fabio Peralta will play for the Falmouth Commodores, and Nick Robert heads to the Bourne Braves.
Three Hurricanes will compete in the NECBL this summer as Gabriel Milano joins the Ocean State Waves, Jailen Watkins will play for the Martha’s Vineyard Sharks and newcomer Jack Ensell is slated to appear for the Valley Blue Sox.
Brandon Degoti will spend the summer in the Northwoods League with the Kalamazoo Growlers, while Erick Peralta will compete for the New Market Rebels of the Valley League.
Frank Menendez rounds out Miami’s summer assignments after being selected to play for the Aberdeen IronBirds in the MLB Draft League.
The summer leagues provide players an opportunity to face elite collegiate competition from across the country while gaining valuable experience ahead of the 2027 season.
