Hurricanes Placed 7 on All-ACC Academic Team

CORAL GABLES, Fla. — Seven members of the University of Miami baseball team were tabbed to the All-ACC Academic Team, the league office announced Wednesday.

CJ Kayfus (management), Andrew Walters (management) and Gage Ziehl (sport administration) all made the All-ACC Academic team for the second time in their careers.

Meanwhile, Ben Chestnutt (criminology), Dorian Gonzalez Jr. (accounting) Zach Levenson (management), Chris Scinta (sport administration) and Alejandro Torres (exploratory arts & sciences) were all first-time honorees.

Requires for selections to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 GPA for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative GPA during one’s academic career. In addition, position players must compete in at least 50 percent of their team’s contests and pitchers in at least 20 percent.
