Canes Baseball Ranked in Top 20

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami baseball program is ranked in five of the six major polls, coming is as high as No. 18 in rankings released Monday.

Miami is ranked highest by Baseball America, listed at No. 18. The Canes are also ranked in the top 20 in two other polls, coming in at No. 19 in D1 Baseball’s top 25 and the NCBWA poll.

The Hurricanes also appear in the USA TODAY coaches poll at No. 22 and the Perfect Game top 25 at No. 24. Miami dropped out of Collegiate Baseball’s rankings.

Miami (9-7, 5-6 ACC) went 1-3 last week, getting a 15-2 win at FGCU before dropping three games to Florida State over the weekend.

The Hurricanes return to action Tuesday with a midweek trip to FAU. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
