CORAL GABLES, Fla. Fresh off its fourth shutout victory of the season Friday night, the University of Miami soccer team will return to the Cobb Stadium field Sunday when it faces Florida Atlantic at 1 p.m.

Sunday’s match will tie the Owls with UCF for the most commonly played non-ACC opponent in Miami program history. The Hurricanes are 7-6-0 all-time against Florida Atlantic and the sides have met in all but five of Miami’s years as a team.

Miami brings a 4-1-0 record into Sunday’s affair, tied for its third-best start through five matches. This is the second time the Hurricanes have logged four shutouts in their first five contests, joining the 2008 season.

The Hurricanes top the ACC in points (59), goals (19), assists (21) and shots (125), and are also tied for second in shutouts. Individually, freshman forward Kristina Fisher is leading or co-leading the conference in points (16), goals (six) and assists (four). Additionally, senior forward Gracie Lachowecki is second in the ACC in shots (28), tied for third in goals (three) and tied for fourth in points (nine)

Florida Atlantic is 3-2-0 in 2016 and two of its wins have come against teams—Jacksonville and Stetson—the Hurricanes also defeated. The Owls posted a 12-8-1 (6-3-1 CUSA) record in 2015.

As is the case with all matches at Cobb Stadium, entry to Sunday afternoon’s game is free. The first 100 fans in attendance will receive Miami sunglasses and team posters will be available for all fans.
