Season Series On the Line

• After splitting the first two games in its season series, No. 13 Miami will host No. 19 FAU in the final matchup between the two teams in the regular season. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. from The Light.

• Miami dropped its opening game against the Owls 5-3 on Feb. 18, but captured a walk-off 4-3 win in extra innings on April 8. The Canes hold a commanding 56-13 lead in the all-time series, including a 47-10 mark in games played in Coral Gables.

FAU is 31-9 overall this season and 13-5 in the C-USA. The Owls are ranked as high as No. 14, and are led by junior Brendon Sanger (.350, three homers, 34 RBI) and senior Ricky Santiago (.343, six homers, 36 RBI).

Saving the Best for Last

• Kennedy, who batted just .231 in his junior season, was bumped to the No. 2 spot in the lineup prior to the April 4 game vs. Duke. He responded with back-to-back three-hit games against the Blue Devils, and has hit a team-best .390 (16-for-41) with 13 runs since moving up in the lineup.

• Kennedy has already set career highs in hits (44), runs (30), doubles (seven), triples (one), home runs (four) & RBI (27).

• Through this point last season (41 games), Kennedy was batting just .196 (18-for-92) with two home runs and 13 RBI.
