@CanesBaseball On the Rise in Newest Rankings
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – After capturing its third straight ACC series this past weekend at North Carolina, the University of Miami baseball team continued its ascent in the national rankings Monday.
Miami moved up one spot to No. 12 in Baseball America‘s top 25, and jumped up two spots in both the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper weekly poll (No. 14) and the USA TODAY Coaches’ Poll (No. 16).
Miami made its biggest jump in the D1Baseball.com poll, moving up five spots to No. 16.
The Hurricanes, who open a nine-game homestand Wednesday with a game against Bethune-Cookman, remained at No. 10 in Perfect Game’s top 25, representing its highest mark in any of the major college baseball polls. The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) ranked Miami No. 15 for the second straight week.
