Back On The Road
• No. 17 Miami carries a six-game winning streak into Winston Salem, N.C. for a series against Wake Forest at Wake Forest Baseball Park.
• Miami has a commanding 30-8 all-time series lead against the Demon Deacons, including 16 of the last 20 matchups. UM dropped its most recent series with Wake Forest, falling in two of three on the road in 2013. The two teams did not meet during the 2014 season.
• Wake Forest is off to a 14-8 start in 2015, but lost two of three during its most recent ACC series with Florida State. The Demon Deacons won two of three in their 1st ACC series with Virginia Tech.

• Miami’s bullpen has recorded a 1.93 ERA in 88.2 combined innings, and has allowed just four earned runs over its last 41.1 innings (the last 10 games) dating back to March 4 – good for an 0.87 ERA.
• Among the Hurricanes’ top arms out of the bullpen: sophomore All-American closer Bryan Garcia (0.66 ERA, four saves), freshman lefthander Michael Mediavilla (0.82 ERA,12 appearances, 16 Ks, just three BBs), senior walk-on Daniel Briggi (0.77 ERA, 12 Ks) and righthanded sidewinder Cooper Hammond (2.51 ERA, 12 appearances).
• In Miami’s sweep of NC State, relievers combined to toss 15.0 innings, surrendering just seven hits and two runs (1.20 ERA). In ACC play (27.1 innings), Miami’s bullpen has combined to allow just three earned runs for a miniscule 0.99 ERA.
• Miami’s staff ERA of 2.86 is the fourth-best mark in the ACC, while its 0.234 batting average against is also the fourth-best total.
Simply The Best
• David Thompson was named ACC Player of the Week and NCBWA National Hitter of the Week on March 16 after hitting .524 (11-for-21) in a perfect 5-0 week for Miami (March 9-15).
• Thompson recorded three multi-hit games, two doubles, three home runs and 13 RBI in the prolific week, and led all Miami hitters with a 1.048 slugging percentage over the five-game stretch.
• He continued his dominance at the plate with a 2-for-5 showing against Army (March 17) that included two homers (one was a grand slam) and five more RBI. He leads Miami with six homers & 31 RBI.
• Thompson carries a career-best 11-game hitting streak into Friday vs. Wake.
