Back for Four More

• Miami returns to Mark Light Field for a four-game home stretch beginning Wed, Feb. 25 against Barry. Miami has a perfect 21-0 all-time series record over the Buccaneers. First pitch is at 6 p.m.

• Miami dropped its series to No. 6 Florida in Gainesville from Feb. 20-22, falling in a weekend set for the first time since dropping two of three to then-No. 3 Virginia at home in 2014 (March 22-24). UM had been 9-0 in weekend series since facing the Cavaliers.

• Miami remains in the top 25 of every major college baseball poll, including its best ranking of No. 11 from both Baseball America & Perfect Game.

• Miami has a 12-0 record against Barry under Jim Morris.

• After facing the Buccaneers, Miami will welcome Wright State for a weekend series. The Raiders are under the direction of former Hurricane catcher and two-time national champion Greg Lovelady.

Home Sweet Home

• Miami completed its first four-game sweep since 2003 to open its season, outscoring Rutgers 48-14 in a perfect 4-0 weekend.

• Miami connected for 53 hits over the four games, including 16 doubles, four triples and two home runs – one each by Malik Rosier (solo) and David Thompson (three-run).

• Miami is batting .371 as a team through its first four home games of 2015, including team-high averages from Ricky Eusebio (.583, 7-for-12) and George Iskenderian (.500, 7-for-14).

• The Hurricanes finished with a home record of 23-10 in 2014, including a record of 11-4 in ACC play.

Start Fast

• Miami is one of just two teams to rank in the top five in the ACC offense & pitching. Miami ranks #4 in team hitting (.299) and #5 in pitching (2.97 ERA). The only other team is Notre Dame (#3, #4).
• Among the ACC leaders are Michael Mediavilla (1st, appearances), Ricky Eusebio (T-1, steals & runs), Zack Collins (T-4, RBI) and Thomas Woodrey (T-1, wins).

One-Two Punch

• Despite the graduation of leadoff hitter Dale Carey and two-hole Tyler Palmer – who combined in those roles in 62 of 63 games in 2014 – freshman Carl Chester and junior Ricky Eusebio have delivered in their places.

• Chester opened his career on a seven-game hitting streak, has a team-high 16 total bases, and hit his first career home run on Feb. 18.

• Eusebio is reaching base at a .556 clip to open the season, with a .360 AVG (9-for-25) and 9 walks compared to just 3 strikeouts.

• Chester & Eusebio give UM a speedy duo at the top of the order – Eusebio is a perfect 4-for-4 on steals, while Chester has four extra base hits – tied for the team lead.
