Offense Responds in #CanesCamp Scrimmage
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – For their second and final scrimmage of #CanesCamp, the Miami Hurricanes played under the lights Friday night at Cobb Stadium.
Friday’s second live action scrimmage last nearly two hours and featured simulated noise during each drive.
Prior to the game, the Hurricanes presented Jack Jablonski with a jersey. Jablonski was a Minnesota prep hockey standout who was paralyzed after being checked into the boards during a tournament in December 2011.
The first half of the scrimmage featured the first-team offense vs. the first-team defense. After a brief halftime, the second-team offense squared off against the second-team defense.
Senior QB Stephen Morris and junior QB Ryan Williams threw two touchdowns each. Both of Morris’ scores went for more than 50 yards, while Williams targeted freshman WR Stacy Coley twice.
Sophomore PK Matt Goudis was a perfect 2-for-2 on field goal attempts, improved to 5-for-5 in the two scrimmages.
BankUnited #CanesFest13 will be held Saturday from 4-7 p.m. at the BankUnited Center. Members of the football, basketball, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, volleyball and swimming & diving programs will be in attendance. Admission and parking is free to the public.
