The Game
The Miami Hurricanes will resume their Atlantic Coast Conference slate with a return to College Park, Md. for a weekend series against the homestanding Maryland Terrapins. Miami took two of three last time out at Shipley Field (2011).

The Series
The Hurricanes hold a 13-4 all-time series advantage over the Terrapins, including seven of the last 10 head-to-head match-ups. Miami took two of three from the Terps at Alex Rodriguez Park in 2012.
The Coach
Jim Morris is in his 35th season as a head coach and 20th with the Miami Hurricanes. He has a 1,507-643-4 (.701) career record, including a 872-335-3 mark at Miami, where he has guided the team to two National Championships (1999, 2001).
Storylines
• The Miami Hurricanes will resume their Atlantic Coast Conference slate with a return to College Park, Md. for a weekend series against the homestanding Maryland Terrapins. Miami took two of three last time out at Shipley Field (2011).
• Despite dropping two of three to fi fth-ranked Florida State last weekend, Miami enters the most recent Ratings Percentage Index (RPI) at No. 17 – and with the second-toughest strength of schedule in the nation, according to WarrenNolan.com.
• The Hurricanes’ weekend rotation of southpaws Chris Diaz, Bryan Radziewski and Andrew Suarez delivered another strong series against the fifth-ranked Seminoles, allowing just four combined earned runs over 18.1 innings of work.
• Among last season’s top performers against the Terrapins at Alex Rodriguez Park: Dale Carey (three hits, three RBI’s), Michael Broad (three hits, two RBI’s), Brad Fieger (three RBI’s) and Tyler Palmer (three hits, three runs).
• John Szefc, in his fi rst season at the helm in College Park, has guided Maryland to an 18-15 overall record and a 4-11 mark in conference play. By contrast, Miami skipper Jim Morris is in his 20th season at Miami and 35th overall as head coach.
• Some of Miami’s most impressive wins have come on the road, including victories over No. 1 UNC (4-1) and No. 5 Virginia (4-3).
