The Game
The Miami Hurricanes will wrap up a five-game homestand Wednesday with a midweek matchup against the Stetson Hatters. First pitch for the battle between Sunshine State foes is set for 6 p.m.

Projected Starters:
Miami JR. RHP Javi Salas (2-3, 4.14 ERA) vs. SU FR. LHP Adam Schaly (0-1, 4.82 ERA)

The Series 
The Hurricanes hold a 109-42 all-time advantage over the Hatters, including a midweek victory at Alex Rodriguez Park in 2012. Miami has won five straight over Stetson and eight of the last 10 head-to-head matchups.

The Broadcast
WVUM 90.5 will carry Wednesday’s game against the Hatters, while Canes All-Access will provide a live stream of the game through HurricaneSports.com.

The Coach
Jim Morris is in his 35th season as a head coach and 20th with the Miami Hurricanes. He has a 1,506-643-4 (.701) career record, including a 871-335-3 mark at Miami, where he has guided the team to two National Championships (1999, 2001).

• In the latest Ratings Percentage Index rankings from both Boyd’s World and WarrenNolan.com, Miami is ranked No. 17 in RPI. Additionally, Warren Nolan has Miami with the second-toughest schedule of any team nationwide.
• The Hurricanes have six wins against teams ranked in the Top 20 in Boyd’s World RPI, and boast a 9-8 overall record against Boyd’s World Top 50 RPI teams.
• Miami’s recent weekend set with fifth-ranked Florida State marked the team’s fourth straight series against a ranked foe.

STARTING OFF STRONG…
• Sophomore Chris Diaz has impressed as Friday night starter, delivering a team-best six quality starts in eight chances this season. The Florida City, Fla., native ranks eighth in the ACC with an ERA of 2.05.
• Junior Bryan Radziewski boasts a team-best ERA of 0.78 having surrendered just three earned runs all season. He has also recorded an eye-popping 49:8 strikeout-to-walk ratio through six starts.
• Radziewski (0.82, No. 1), Diaz (2.94, No. 15) and sophomore Andrew Suarez (3.18, No. 16) all rank in the top 20 in ERA among ACC starters in conference competition this season.

LAST YEAR’S MATCHUP…• Miami starter Javi Salas scattered seven hits and two runs in 6.1 innings, earning the victory in a 3-2 win over the Hatters at The Light on April 18, 2012.• Relievers Chris Diaz, Eric Nedeljkovic and AJ Salcines combined to pitch the final 2.2 scoreless innings, allowing just one hit while striking out four batters combined.• Jarred Mederos and Stephen Perez each homered, while Tyler Palmer delivered an RBI single. Miami was outhit by Stetson 8-7, but managed to hold on, as Salcines earned his second save of the season.
