The Games
The Miami Hurricanes will continue its six-game homestand Friday when visiting Virginia Tech University arrives for a weekend series. First pitch for the series opener is set for 7 p.m.

The Coach
Jim Morris is in his 34th season as a head coach and 20th with the Miami Hurricanes. He has a 1,502-636-4 (.702) career record, including a 867-328-3 mark at Miami, where he has guided the team to two National Championships (1999, 2001).
Storylines:
• After sweeping their midweek series with Columbia, Miami continues on its six-game homestand Friday when visiting No. 24 Virginia Tech arrives for a weekend series. First pitch is set for 7 p.m. for the series opener.
• Miami will be featuring three southpaws in its rotation for the first time this season, as Bryan Radziewski will be starting Saturday in place of Javi Salas, who started in Wednesday’s win over Columbia.
• The Hurricanes will be looking to capture their first Atlantic Coast Conference series victory of the season against the Hokies, who took two of three from Miami in last season’s series at English Field. The Hokies are 4-2 in ACC play so far this season.
• Despite dropping last year’s head-to-head, the Hurricanes boast an impressive 18-6 all-time mark over Virginia Tech, and have won six of the last 10 match-ups.
• Virginia Tech has powered its way through the early part of its schedule, ranking top in the conference in homeruns (21) and fourth in team batting average (.305).
• Among last season’s top UM/VT series performers: Chantz Mack (five hits, four RBI’s) and Michael Broad (three runs).
