2013 Baseball Schedule Released

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Onthe day his team officially begins its 2012-13 campaign with the opening offall practice, University of Miami head baseball coach Jim Morris released the team’s2013 schedule Tuesday.

Miami’s 56-game regular season campaign, which includes 37games inside Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field, features 10 weekendseries’ against Atlantic Coast Conference competition.

“We’re playing another good schedule. It always starts with the ACC, one of the best conferences in the country,”  Morris said. “It’s a very tough league every year.”

The Hurricanes open their season with Rutgers (Feb. 15-17)for the fifth consecutive season, and also have three-game sets at home againstMilwaukee (Feb. 22-24) and on the road at Florida (March 1-3) before openingconference play at home against Duke (March 8-10). 

“Every single weekend is a battle,” Morris added.

Miami wraps up its regular season with a homeseries against the visiting Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (May 16-18) before apotential trip to Durham, N.C. and the ACC Baseball Tournament (May 22-25).
