CORAL GABLES, Fla. — The No. 18 Miami Hurricanes return to Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field for a weekend showdown with ACC opponent No. 25 Virginia beginning Saturday, April 28.  The highly anticipated series has an untraditional weekend schedule due to televised coverage, including Monday night’s ACC Game of the Week on ESPNU.

The Canes are pleased to announce that the pre-game festivities will include an honorary first pitch thrown by Lesley Visser, one of the sports world’s most enduring and well-known personalities. Recently voted as the No. 1 female sportscaster of all-time, Visser is the only sportscaster, male or female, to have worked the network broadcasts of the Final Four, Super Bowl, World Series, NBA Finals, Triple Crown, Olympics and U.S. Open.

UBaseball will also be hosting its annual Hall of Fame Game on Saturday.  Before the game, former Baseball Hall of Fame inductees will be introduced and their accomplishments honoured on the field. The first 2,000 fans in attendance will also be receiving the fifth installment of the 2012 Team Card Set.  After the game, kids 12 and under will be invited to run the bases.

On Sunday, first pitch is scheduled for 7 pm.  The Miami Maniac will be inviting all of his closest friends to the park for Mascot Night, as Sebastian the Ibis and several others from around South Florida will be invading the Light.

The series finale is scheduled for 7 pm on Monday night, for an ESPNU nationally televised game.  The first 750 fans through the gates will receive Rally Towels, as the Canes look to create a white storm in front of a national audience.  Fans will also be able to play Baseball Bingo, by marking their game cards with the corresponding plays from the game, for a chance to win a free Mark Light Milkshake.
