CORAL GABLES, Fla. — Former University of Miami standouts DeMarcus Van Dyke, Allen Bailey, Leonard Hankerson and Colin McCarthy will play in the Under Armour Senior Bowl Saturday at 4 p.m. Eastern on NFL Network.

In its lengthy history, the University of Miami has had 59 of its student-athletes invited to play in the Senior Bowl. The first player invited was center Art Davies in 1950.

This season, Miami’s total of four participants is second only to Nebraska (6).  It’s another reaffirmation of the Miami to the NFL Pipeline.  UM led all university with 10 alums on the Pro Bowl rosters (played Sunday on Fox) and six alums on the All-Pro teams.

Last season, Jimmy Graham and Darryl Sharpton participated in the showcase workouts. Graham was drafted by the New Orleans Saints and has five touchdowns for the defending Super Bowl Champions this season. Sharpton was picked in the 4th round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans.

Last week, Van Dyke and former UM running back Graig Cooper participated in the East-West Shrine Game in Orlando.

Fellow former Cane Ryan Hill played in the Eastham All Star game in Arizona, while Damien Berry is set to participate in the NFLPA All-Star game next week.
