Fan Vote For 2010 Football Awards: URespect Award
Dec. 1, 2010
CORAL GABLES, Fla. — The Miami football program has added a new award for the annual postseason banquet and we are asking fans to decide the winner through online voting.
Fan votes (and only fan votes) will decide the winner of the 2010 URespect Award. The URespect program is based around sportsmanship. The tagline for the program is:
“RESPECT THE GAME. RESPECT THE FANS. RESPECT THE U.”
The Miami coaching staff nominated five players as finalists and they are listed in the poll below:
So who do you think is most deserving? Senior Josh Holmes, who battled through injury and was a key figure in several wins. DeMarcus Van Dyke, who was a key cog in the secondary and was one of best players with the media all season? Or maybe Matt Bosher, who was Mr. Everything on special teams and played with an unbridaled passion.
Then there is Sean Spence and Leonard Hankerson, who were both team leaders, great media spokespersons and among the most consistent players on the roster.
