Wednesday's Miami-FGCU Baseball Game Postponed
Feb. 24, 2010
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The 10th-ranked University of Miami baseball team’s scheduled game against Florida Gulf Coast Wednesday night at Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field has been postponed due to inclement weather in the area. A make-up date has yet to be determined.
Miami and FGCU were slated to play at 6 p.m. in what was scheduled to be the first of three games between the two teams this season. In addition to Wednesday’s postponed game, the other two scheduled meetings have been set for April 14 at FGCU and May 18 in Coral Gables.
The Hurricanes will now return to the diamond this weekend for a three-game series against Manhattan, Feb. 26-28, at Alex Rodriguez Park. Game times are set for 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday. The `Canes are 3-0 all-time against Manhattan, with all three wins coming during the 2006 season – once in Coral Gables during the regular season and twice in the Lincoln Regional later that year.
Single game and season tickets are currently available for the 2010 University of Miami season. Single game prices start as low as $10, while season tickets start at $100. Group packages are also available. For more information or to order your tickets for Hurricanes baseball, visit www.hurricanesports.com or call 1-800-GO-CANES.
