Dwayne Collins Named Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week
Feb. 25, 2008 Coral Gables, Fla (www.hurricanesports.com) – Sophomore forward Dwayne Collins, who had a career-high 26 points in the Hurricanes 96-95 victory over the Duke Blue Devils on Wednesday, February 20 has been named the Muscle Milk Student Athlete of the Week for the period ending Sunday, February 24. Against Duke, ranked in the top five in both polls entering the game, Collins hit 12 of 14 from the field and added seven rebounds. Against Maryland Saturday, he continued his fine play with 12 points and six rebounds as UM was victorious 78-63 to claim its fourth straight ACC win. For the week, the Miami native averaged 19.0 points and 6.5 rebounds while shooting a phenomenal 72 percent from the field (18 of 25). |
