Baseball Hosts Homerun Derby This Weekend

Coral Gables, Fla. (www. hurricanesports.com) – – Prior to this Saturday’s baseball game versus North Carolina State, four members of the World Softball League will participate in a pre-game homerun derby, as part of their Long Haul Bombers Tour.

Highlights from the homerun derby will be shown as a part of the weekly broadcast of Softball 360, the national television series highlighting softball action.

Last season, the World Softball League Homerun Derby performed before home games for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Milwaukee Brewers, Seattle Mariners, Montreal Expos and the Cincinnati Reds.

The Hurricanes take on NC State Friday, March 4th through Sunday, March 6th. The series will mark the first for the Hurricanes as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Game time for Friday and Saturday is set for 7:00 pm, with gates opening for advanced ticket holders at 5:30 pm. Sunday’s contest will begin at 1 pm, with gates opening at 11:30 am for advanced ticket holders.
