A Sporting Chance and the University of Miami Baseball team have teamed up and are giving children, who are stricken with cancer, the opportunity to throw out the first pitch at a select number of baseball games this season. The child also is able to come out on the field prior to the game and meet the coaches and players as well as get autographs. A Sporting Chance, founded by Richard Stein, is a not-for-profit organization that helps children in Dade and Broward counties, ages five to eighteen. This organization helps put some fun back in the lives of these children and gives them an unforgettable experience.
