Miami/LSU Game Set for Saturday at 7 p.m. in Omaha

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The top-ranked and No. 3 national seed Miami baseball team will take on Louisiana State at 7 p.m. (EDT), Saturday, June 19 on ESPN in the College World Series at Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, Neb.
The Hurricanes are 49-11 on the season and have won 12 straight games. Miami is making its 21st appearance at the College World Series. UM is now tied with Southern California for the second most appearances in the CWS history behind Texas’ 31.
UM is bracketed with Cal State Fullerton and South Carolina who will play Saturday’s first game at 2:30 p.m. (EDT) on ESPN. The Hurricanes will play either the winner or loser of the Cal State Fullerton/South Carolina game on Monday, June 21.
The College World Series begins on Friday, June 18, with Georgia taking on Arizona 2 p.m. (EDT) on ESPN2 and Texas and Arkansas squaring off at 7 p.m. (EDT) on ESPN2.
Miami Head Coach Jim Morris is making his ninth trip to the CWS in 11 years at Miami. He captured national championships with the Hurricanes in 1999 and 2001.
The Hurricanes will be facing LSU for the first time since the 1996 national championship game won by the Tigers, 9-8.
