San Pedro Named to All-Valley League First Team

HARRISONBURG, Va. – University of Miami catcher Erick San Pedro was selected to the All-Valley League First Team after an impressive summer stint with the Staunton Braves. The team was selected by the media covering the conference.

The junior to be from Hialeah, Fla., hit .333 with four home runs and 14 RBIs, while going a perfect 12-for-12 on stolen base attempts.

San Pedro paced the Braves to the South Division title after being selected as the league’s co-player of the week for July 14-20.

He hit .317 for the Hurricanes during the 2003 season with four home runs and 43 RBIs. San Pedro also picked off 12 runners, which is a school position record.
