“I thought that it was a very tough game. I can see why (John) Gragg was the player of the year in his conference. (He’s) got good stuff, he’s an outstanding competitor; he’s an outstanding hitter who just plays the game hard … I thought that they had a very good club. They had a very good team and we got some breaks, and we got some things down that helped us. We did some little things that I thought really helped us in the game. We got a big start out of Vince (Bongiovanni) tonight to get the win, and that was huge for us because he had been on the DL for a while and then he came back. His pitch count had been down the last couple of weeks and he just needed a chance to get back in there. He was our No. 2 starter in the beginning before (Danny) Touchet went out so we have great expectations for him. But that was a big win for him. And of course (Ryan) Braun had a big night and Burt had a big night and some of the other guys offensively to score runs. It was an exciting game and a very unique game.”
