The 14th-ranked Miami baseball team travels to Tallahassee to complete a six-game series with top-ranked Florida State at Dick Howser Stadium, beginning on Friday, April 25 at 7 p.m.

The series will continue on Saturday at 7 p.m. and conclude with a 1 p.m. contest on Sunday. All three games will be televised on the Sunshine Network. The student voice of the Hurricanes, WVUM 90.5 FM, will also carry all three games.

The Hurricanes will be looking to bounce back after dropping two of three games to FSU last weekend in Coral Gables.

Miami will be without the services of No. 2 starter Vince Bongiovanni after he reinjured his right forearm against the Seminoles last weekend. J.D. Cockroft (6-1, 2.63 ERA) will again get the call on Friday night. Brandon Camardese (5-0), 4.82 ERA) will move up into the second spot in the rotation on Saturday, while Alex Perez (0-1, 7.36 ERA) will make the second start of his career on Sunday.

Florida State will counter with three left-handers, Trent Peterson (7-1, 2.35) on Friday, Matt Lynch (9-2, 3.73) on Saturday and Daniel Davidson (6-0, 2.03) on Sunday.

Florida State leads the all-time series 120-105-4 after taking two of three games from the Hurricanes last weekend, including a tie on Sunday. UM won five of six games over FSU in the 2001 season and six of seven games during the 1999 campaign. Both seasons Miami went on to win the College World Series.

Florida State enters the game with a 2.56 team ERA, which ranks fourth nationally, and a .297 team batting average. Miami sports a .311 team batting average and a 4.23 team ERA.
