Game Three of the San Diego State Series Changed to Noon Start Time

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The start time for the series finale between Miami and San Diego State on Sunday, Feb. 23, has been changed to noon to accommodate the Aztecs’ travel schedule.

The Hurricanes and Aztecs were originally scheduled to get underway at 1 p.m. on Sunday. The two teams will meet twice prior to the Sunday contest with a game on Friday, Feb. 21, and Saturday, Feb. 22, with both games starting at 7 p.m.

San Diego State is led by first-year head coach Tony Gwynn, who spent 20 years with the San Diego Padres before joining SDSU last season as an assistant coach. He took over the head coaching duties on June 1, 2002.

Prior to the San Diego State series, Miami will travel to Gainesville, Fla., for a three-game series with the Florida Gators. The opening game is scheduled for a 6:30 p.m. first pitch on Friday, Feb. 14, at MeKethan Stadium. The two teams will face off again on Saturday, Feb. 15, at 2 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 16, at 1 p.m.
