Brown, a Business major emphasizing Real Estate, is in his fourth season playing with the Hurricanes. The North Fort Myers resident may always be remembered at Miami for his clutch performance in the 1999 College World Series championship game against state-rival Florida State. Brown, a then-sophomore, accounted for four RBI in the decisive game against the Seminoles, which UM won 6-5. The 2001 season has seen Brown climb up the school record books with his 40 home runs (3rd), 157 RBI (8th), 46 doubles (9th) and 22 hit-by-pitch (4th). He has five game-winning hits this season, two against FSU, South Florida, Arkansas and the season-opener against Florida Atlantic.

Jimerson, a Computer Science graduate, has saved his best for last in his final campaign for the Hurricanes. In his fourth season playing with UM, Jimerson is batting a personal-best .273. He has three game-winning hits on the season against Florida State, Albany and Florida International. Jimerson had a tremendous 2001 series against the Seminoles, hitting three home runs with eight RBI. Already equaling his 2000 total in stolen bases, the Hayward, CA, resident has 42 for his career.

Lovelady, a local-product from Palmetto High School, is serving as Co-Team Captain in his fourth and final season for the Hurricanes. As a sophomore, Lovelady assumed the starting catching role, as Russ Jacobson was lost for the season with a wrist injury. The Finance major is most noted as beginning his career in the UM bullpen and climbing his way into the starting line-up. This season, Lovelady has also saved his best game for late in the season as he enters the Florida Southern series on a season-high five-game hitting streak. Within this span, Lovelady had a three-run home run and four RBI in UM’s 10-9 win over Stetson.

Silverman has spent four seasons working with the University’s baseball program. Sometimes in the equipment office and most of the time in the bullpen, Silverman is one of most dedicated parts of the Hurricane program. Recently, at Miami’s season opening “First Pitch” Banquet, Silverman was awarded with the team’s Unsung Hero Award, for his work and dedication. Silverman will earning his degree in Finance.
