Miami-Boston College To Be Televised Nationally
Nov. 6, 2000
CORAL GABLES, Fla. (www.hurricanesports.com) – The BIG EAST Conference announced Monday that the Nov. 25 football game matching the University of Miami Hurricanes and the Boston College Eagles will be televised nationally by CBS with kickoff slated for 3:30 p.m. Eastern time. The game will make UM’s third national television appearance on CBS this season.
This marks the fifth consecutive season for the BC-Miami game to be nationally televised and the second straight year that CBS has carried the Hurricanes and Eagles nationally. The teams have met eight times on national television with the Hurricanes holding a 7-1 advantage in those games. The first nationally televised BC-Miami matchup was UM’s only loss to BC on national TV, a memorable 47-45 defeat at the Orange Bowl on Nov. 23, 1984. That game was the first BC-Miami national telecast and the Hurricanes have won the subsequent seven meetings between the two on national television.
