Football Cracks Top 25 Polls for Week 3
CORAL GABLES, Fla. — Following a 48-33 win over a ranked Texas A&M team Saturday at Hard Rock Stadium, the Miami Hurricanes football team cracked the top 25 polls for the first time this season Sunday.
Miami checked in at No. 22 in the Associated Press top 25 and earned a No. 23 ranking in the Coaches Poll.
Quarterback Tyler Van Dyke threw for five touchdowns, Miami’s defense turned an explosive Aggies offense over three times, and the Hurricanes (2-0) overcame a double-digit deficit early in the game in a commandeering win in the second year of head coach Mario Cristobal’s tenure.
The Hurricanes continue their season on Thursday night at Hard Rock Stadium against Bethune-Cookman. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. on ACC Network.
