Football Checks In At No. 18 in Latest CFP Rankings

CORAL GABLES, Fla. — For the fourth straight week, the Miami Hurricanes football team was ranked in the top 20 of the College Football Playoff rankings.

The Hurricanes (8-2, 7-2 ACC) checked in at No. 18 in the latest rankings. Miami, who was No. 10 in the first three College Football Playoff rankings of the fall, cracked the list on Nov. 24 for the first time since the final rankings of the 2017 season (Dec. 3, 2017).

With Tuesday’s announcement by the selection committee, the Hurricanes are ranked in the top 20 of every major poll; Miami was ranked No. 19 in both the Amway Coaches’ Poll and the Associated Press top 25 released on Dec. 13.

Miami’s highest ranking of the year in any poll was No. 7, which was attained in both the AP top 25 and coaches’ poll on Oct. 4.
