King Picks Up Second Straight ACC Weekly Honor
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – For the second straight week, Miami Hurricanes quarterback D’Eriq King was recognized by the Atlantic Coast Conference as a recipient of one of the conference’s weekly football awards.
King delivered a standout performance in his first ever rivalry game against Florida State to earn ACC Quarterback of the Week honors. King finished 29-for-40 for 267 yards and two touchdowns and added a game-high 65 rushing yards.
The Manvel, Texas native came just one completion shy of tying his career high for completions (30), which he set at Houston in 2018. Through three starts, he is completing 67.0 percent of his passes with six touchdowns and zero interceptions.
The No. 8/8 Hurricanes (3-0, 2-0 ACC) have an open date on Oct. 3 before a road test at No. 1/1 Clemson (2-0, 1-0 ACC) on Oct. 10. Kickoff for that game is slated for 7:30 p.m. on ABC.
