Gaynor Named ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami redshirt junior Corey Gaynor was recognized for his outstanding efforts in Miami’s season opener, earning ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week for his performance against UAB.
Gaynor was Miami’s top-graded offensive lineman in a dominant outing from his unit in a 31-14 win over the Blazers on Sept. 10.
The Hurricanes (1-0) piled up 337 rushing yards in the victory, outgaining UAB, 495-285, in the decision. The 337 yards were the second-most recorded by a Miami team against an FBS opponent since the Hurricanes joined the ACC in 2004 and most in any game since 2016.
Gaynor made his 14th straight start in the middle of the line in the win.
