Osborn Named to Biletnikoff Award Watch List
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Redshirt senior wide receiver K.J. Osborn was among the 50 players named to The Biletnikoff Award Watch List, as announced Thursday by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation, Inc.
The Biletnikoff Award annually recognizes the season’s outstanding FBS receiver in college football. Any player, regardless of position (wide receiver, tight end, slot back, and running back) who catches a pass is eligible for the award.
A graduate transfer from the University of Buffalo in his first year with the Hurricanes, Osborn is one of six ACC standouts who made the cut.
The Ypsilanti, Mich., native totaled 1,490 yards and 12 touchdowns on 96 catches during his three seasons with the Bulls. In 2018, Osborn racked 892 yards and seven touchdowns on 53 receptions, earning second team All-MAC honors and making The Biletnikoff Award midseason watch list.
Osborn is the third Hurricane to garner preseason plaudits. Earlier this week, junior defensive lineman Jonathan Garvin and senior linebacker Shaq Quarterman were tabbed to the Chuck Bednarik Award watch list.
The winner of The Biletnikoff Award, which has been given out annually since 1994, is selected by the highly distinguished Biletnikoff Award National Selection Committee, a group of prominent college football journalists, commentators, announcers, former winners and other ex-receivers.
