Hurricanes Ranked No. 8 in Preseason Coaches Poll

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Miami Hurricanes checked in at No. 8 in the preseason Amway Coaches poll released Thursday, marking their highest position in the preseason poll since 2005.

The Hurricanes, who ended last season ranked No. 13 in the coaches poll, are the second-highest ranked team in the ACC behind No. 2 Clemson.

Georgia Tech placed third with eight first-place votes and 654 points. Duke totaled 607 points, followed by Pitt at 420, North Carolina at 370 and Virginia at 257.
