Miami-Florida State Football Game Is On For Saturday
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami football team’s game with Florida State will be played as scheduled on Saturday night at Hard Rock Stadium with kickoff set for 8 p.m.
The decision to move forward with the game came after numerous conversations between Florida State, the ACC, Hard Rock Stadium, the University of Miami and through consultation with Miami Dade County.
Fans should be aware that for tomorrow’s game, the Green and RV tailgating lots will now open at 4 p.m., while the Blue, Maroon, Yellow, Purple and Orange lots will open at 5 p.m.
Any individuals who do not have a ticket to the game, or do not have a ticket waiting at will call or on a pass list, will not be permitted to enter the tailgating area at Hard Rock Stadium.
The game will begin with a moment of silence in recognition of all those impacted by Hurricane Matthew throughout the United States and the Caribbean, and both teams will wear a specially designed helmet sticker with the state of Florida covered by the Red Cross logo. As part of the efforts to assist in the aftermath of the hurricane, both schools will also present a check for $50,000 prior to the game for hurricane relief. In addition, fans are encouraged to aid in the relief effort and will be provided opportunities in the stadium to support the effort.
