Miami Football Moves Up the Rankings In Both Polls
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – For the fifth consecutive week, the University of Miami football team continued its climb up the national college football rankings.
Following its 35-21 victory on the road this past Saturday against Georgia Tech, Miami moved up to No. 10 in both the Associated Press Poll and Amway Coaches Poll on Sunday.
Miami’s No. 10 ranking mark the first time the Hurricanes have been the highest-ranked FBS team in the state of Florida since Nov. 14, 2010. This also is the highest Miami has been ranked in both polls since Nov. 2, 2013.
The Hurricanes also moved up to No. 10 in the Football Writers Association-National Football Foundation Super 16 Poll.
Miami is 4-0 for the sixth time since 2000 and has outscored its opponents by a combined total of 188-44.
The Hurricanes return to action on Saturday as they welcome Florida State to Hard Rock Stadium. Kickoff has been set for 8 p.m.
