@CanesFootball Announces Three Game Times
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami football team released the start times for three games this season in conjunction with the Atlantic Coast Conference today.
The Hurricanes will open their 2016 campaign with a pair of 6 p.m. games against Florida A&M (Sept. 3) and FAU (Sept. 10). Both contests will be aired on ESPN3.
Miami’s nationally-televised matchup at Virginia Tech on Oct. 20 also was announced and is set to kickoff at 7 p.m. The game will be aired on ESPN.
The 2016 season marks the first under head coach Mark Richt. The Miami alum was named the program’s 24th head coach on Dec. 4, 2015.
The Hurricanes return 17 starters from last year’s squad that finished 8-5. Miami closed the 2015 season by winning four of its final six games and played in its 39th bowl game, appearing in the Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas.
