CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami football team will look to continue its pipeline to the National Football League this week as the 2016 NFL Draft begins in Chicago.

The Hurricanes have a NFL Draft tradition that has been matched by few programs in all of college football. Listed below are some of the eye-popping numbers that Miami boasts leading up to the 2016 NFL Draft.
 
325 – Miami’s 325 overall NFL or AFL selections lead the ACC.

93 – The Hurricanes have had 93 draft picks since the start of the 2000 season – a figure that ranks second among all NCAA teams.
 
62 – Miami has had 62 players selected in the first round of the NFL or AFL Draft.
  
41 – For 41 consecutive years, the Hurricanes have had at least one player selected in the NFL Draft.
 
28 – Since 2000, Miami has had an NCAA-best 28 players selected in the first round of the NFL Draft.
 
24 – The Hurricanes have had five-or-more players selected in the NFL Draft 24 times since 1980.
 
14 – For 14 consecutive seasons (1995-2008), the University of Miami had at least one player selected in the first round of the NFL Draft.
 
11 – Miami has had 11 players selected in the NFL Draft on three separate occasions (1988, 1991 and 2002).
 
6 – The Hurricanes featured an NFL-record six first round Draft picks in 2004.
 
4 – Miami ranks fourth all-time in first round picks and is first among ACC schools.
 
1 – Vinny Testaverde and Russell Maryland are the Hurricanes’ two No. 1 overall NFL Draft picks in program history.
 
First Round coverage of the 2016 NFL Draft begins Thursday night in Chicago, Ill. and will be aired live on ESPN and NFL Network at 8 p.m.

NFL Draft coverage continues on Friday beginning at 7 p.m. with rounds two and three. The NFL Draft concludes on Saturday with rounds four through seven with live coverage beginning at Noon. Rounds two through seven also will be aired live on ESPN and NFL Network.
