Baseball Ranked in Top Five of Every Poll
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Coming off a perfect 4-0 week and a series sweep of Clemson, the Miami Hurricanes baseball team was ranked in the top five of every major baseball poll released Monday.
The Hurricanes jumped three spots to No. 2 in the USA TODAY Coaches Poll with 715 points, trailing only top-ranked Texas A&M (757). Miami jumped both Florida (No. 3) and Vanderbilt (No. 4), and received four first-place votes.
Miami (20-4, 7-2 ACC) moved up one spot to No. 3 in Baseball America’s top 25, marking its highest ranking from the publication since being ranked No. 1 in the June 10, 2008 poll.
The Hurricanes’ No. 4 ranking from D1Baseball is their highest since the poll’s inception in 2015.
One of the biggest movers in the Perfect Game top 25 presented by Rawlings, Miami soared from No. 6 to No. 3, trailing only No. 1 Florida and No. 2 Texas A&M.
The Hurricanes, who will battle two more ranked teams this week in FAU and North Carolina, moved from No. 5 to No. 4 in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper poll.
