Exciting First Day For 14 New Canes
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami football team officially welcomed 14 new players to their new home Sunday afternoon for the first semester of college.
New members of the 2015 squad arrived before 8 a.m. Sunday morning. Upon checking in at the Schwartz Center the new Hurricanes received an information packet on this year’s opponents, a nutrition guide, team packet and workout schedule for the upcoming season.
Following check-in at the Schwartz Center, each player checked into their respective dorm rooms where they will stay for their entire first session of college.
The new Canes also selected a locker and picked up their respective jerseys.
In addition, the incoming first-year players had meetings with the academic staff and the athletic training staff before meeting as a team for the first time.
The players concluded the day by going to dinner at their position coaches house.
