Kaaya Honored as Freshman All-American by TSN

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Quarterback Brad Kaaya earned postseason All-America recognition from The Sporting News, the publication announced Wednesday.

Kaaya, who led the ACC in passing touchdowns with 25, threw for a Hurricanes true freshman-record 2,962 yards in his first season at the helm of Miami’s offense.

The West Hills, Calif., native threw just 11 interceptions, completed 58.6-percent of his passes and averaged 246.8 passing yards per game.

Kaaya, whose 2,962 passing yards were the fourth-most by a freshman in ACC history, was named the ACC’s Rookie of the Year by the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association (ACSMA) and ACC coaches.
