Monday #ProCanes Report: Andre Cracks 13,000

The Monday Morning #ProCanes report will weed through all the NFL highlights and news to bring you the information you care about the most… what the former University of Miami Hurricanes did during the week prior. A Week Six Thursday Night Football matchup between AFC South rivals featured two of the greatest #ProCanes wide receivers in history. Between them, Houston’s Andre Johnson and Indianapolis’ Reggie Wayne have combined for over 27,000 yards and 140 touchdowns. The veteran pair also serve as the two active yardage leaders in the NFL, with Wayne checking in at No. 9 all-time and Johnson at No. 15. Thursday’s hard-fought battle – which resulted in a 33-28 Indianapolis win – did not disappoint.

Greg Olsen (Carolina Panthers) – six catches, 62 yards, one touchdown
The game might have ended in a tie, but Carolina tight end Greg Olsen put the Panthers ahead in the fourth quarter on a 13-yard touchdown catch with less than five minutes remaining on the road in Cincinnati. Olsen, who is on pace for the first 1,000-yard season of his career, hauled in six catches for 62 yards on the afternoon, leading the Panthers in yards .  The eighth-year tight end now has five touchdowns this season – tied for the second-best mark of his career – and over 40 for his career. A touching pregame story about the Olsen family and his son TJ’s struggles through multiple heart surgeries aired before his dominant performance.
VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS: Olsen Goes 13 Yards for TD

Andre Johnson (Houston Texans) – seven catches, 99 yards, one touchdown
Trailing 24-0 at home in the second quarter of their showdown with Indianapolis, Andre Johnson helped spark the Texans with an acrobatic four-yard touchdown grab on the edge of the endzone. More impressively, Johnson became just the 15th wide receiver in league history to crack the 13,000 yard mark with a four-catch, 99-yard performance. It took Johnson just 160 games to reach 13,000 yards, which marked the second-fastest stretch in league history – Hall of Famer Jerry Rice did it in 154. Of the top 20 most prolific receivers of all-time, both Johnson and counterpart Reggie Wayne are two of just four players to do it with the same team.
VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS: Can’t Miss Play: Andre the Giant

Antrel Rolle (New York Giants) – four tackles, one interception
Not often does a defensive player get recognized after his team allowed 27 points, but New York’s Antrel Rolle was the only Giant making plays Sunday against Philadelphia. Rolle, who finished the game with four solo tackles on Sunday Night Football, reeled in his third interception of the season and 26th of his career in a disappointing defeat. One week after posting 11 tackles in a win over Atlanta, Rolle was also credited with his fourth pass defense of the season in the loss. Rolle is one of just seven players this season with three interceptions, with his most recent coming on a Philadelphia trip to the red zone just before halftime.
