Williams Inks Grant-In-Aid with Hurricanes
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami football program signed Class of 2015 running back Dexter Williams to a grant-in-aid agreement on Thursday.
Williams, who hails from Winter Garden, Fla., and attends West Orange High School, is ranked among the best players at his position by every national scouting service. He is rated the No. 84 overall prospect on the ESPN300 and No. 111 on the 247Sports national rankings.
The 6-foot, 190-pound Williams posted the top score at the 2014 Nike Football SPARQ Combine stop in Orlando, earning his place at Nike’s The Opening – a prestigious, invite-only football camp for the nation’s top prospects in Beaverton, Ore.
Williams ended his junior year with 1,072 yards on 179 carries, including three touchdowns.
