Hurricane Club Surpasses 1,000 New Members
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Just three months into the calendar year, the Hurricane Club has surpassed its new member goal of 1,000 members for 2014. The Hurricane Club is well on pace to reach its overall goal of 7,500 members and has 5,130 active members so far this year.
The push is part of the overall #BuildingChampions campaign, which is in year two of the three year plan. Last year, the Hurricane Club set an all-time record for UM Athletics annual support with more than 6,900 members.
“Reaching 1,000 new members for the second straight year is a tremendous accomplishment for our program,” Associate AD for Development Jesse Marks said. “We need to continue to grow our membership base and expand our reach nationwide.”

The Miami Hurricanes will host UNITE.14 Spring Game & Family Festival Presented by BankUnited on Saturday at Sun Life Stadium. The entire event is free and open to the public. Stadium parking lots open at 2 p.m., and the Stadium gates will open at 3 p.m. Fans are asked to enter parking lots through Gate 7 and park in the Maroon Lot. Fans are asked to enter through Gate D. The team autograph session will begin at 4 p.m. at the Gate E entrance.
The University of Miami has launched the $7 million Football Victory Fund to address the most important needs of the football program. There are a variety of ways to contribute to the Football Victory Fund as well as to Hurricanes Athletics.
