CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Miami Hurricanes head coach Al Golden announced Wednesday the signing of 26 student-athletes to play football at ‘The U’. Miami’s 26 signees feature 24 high school standouts and nine January enrollees.
Miami’s 2014 signing class is ranked No. 10 by ESPN, No. 11 by Scout, 12 by Rivals and No. 12 by 247Sports.
Among Miami’s 2014 signees are 11 ESPN300 recruits – Joseph Yearby (No. 23), KC McDermott (No. 36), Chad Thomas (No. 65), Brad Kaaya (No. 112), Trevor Darling (No. 115), Trent Harris (No. 133), Anthony Moten (No. 182), Kiy Hester (No. 196), Darrion Owens (No. 246), Darrell Langham (No. 259) and Braxton Berrios (No. 289). Eight of Miami’s 17 signees hail from Miami-Dade County and three from both Broward and Palm Beach counties.
The signing class features nine early enrollees – Berrios, Darling, Harris, Calvin Heurtelou, McDermott, Ryan Mayes, Owens, Yearby and Juwon Young.
The University of Miami has launched the $7 million Football Victory Fund to address the most important needs of the football program.
